For September 2007

When you return to campus, you should start thinking about art you want to see and Dayton happens to have some exciting opportunities. The members show at DVAC will be up until August 18. It features our own Erin Holscher Almazon, who was also granted a Juror's Award of Merit. Luckily, since you might not have time to catch that, Sean Wilkinson, the founder of UD's photo department, will show a 30 year retrospective of his photography in DVAC September 10 through October 27. He will give an artist talk in the gallery on September 13. It will be very informative night for any young artist.

Also, some exciting work is being shown in the Regional Artists Gallery of the DAI. Tom Davie is showing interesting layered prints of fellow parishoners through December 2.

And, as always, feel free to contact any of us graduates about anything...we're still figuring it out, too. Julie Jones has the adjunct photo position at Stivers School for the Arts. She's a good resource since she is currently in Dayton. Ryan Feeney is on his way to get his MFA at UMass. Curtis Mann is finishing his MFA at Columbia College in Chicago and making a name for himself. Rodney Godek is at the University of Delaware. Meghan Brown in moving to Maine to work at a Leadership Camp. And I'm living in Pittsburgh working at a gallery.

Good luck this school year!
